Why fundraise for us?

By fundraising for us, you will be ensuring that our sessions can continue to run and are accessible and affordable for individuals and families across Birmingham.

Parks for Play is a thirteen year old charity located in Kings Heath. The organisation delivers exceptional play and leisure opportunities in community venues, streets and parks and ran the only specialist after school childcare in the country for five years until last summer.

It was formed by local parents who found it impossible for their disabled children to access any community play services unless they provided additional staff themselves at their own expense!  They decided to improve the world for their own and other local children by creating wonderful, local play opportunities offering traditionally excluded children priority access to welcoming, customised community services.

We rely on funding so that parents of children with disabilities can access our after school and weekend play provision at subsidised rates.
